What is Assisted Lymphatic Therapy?
Assisted lymphatic therapy (ALT) is a light touch, non-invasive therapy using a specialized device that
clears the body of toxins
reduces inflammation
strengthens the immune system
In a massage like setting, your therapist will trace your lymphatic system with two hand held wands containing inert gasses that break up stagnant lymph vessels and clogged lymph nodes. This allows your body to flush out hidden toxins and built-up fluid that leads to swelling, bloating and edema; as well as boost your immune system by opening up the pathways for nutrients to travel throughout the body where needed.
Your lymphatic system can be compared to a highway. When congested, nothing is able to get through. Toxins and excess fluid build up in the tissue. Nutrients and white blood cells (WBC’s) are unable to reach where they need to go to keep us healthy. ALT opens up and flushes out these areas of congestion, allowing our “highways” to begin flowing once again.
Each ALT session equals 8-10 manual lymphatic massages, effectively targeting deep lymphatic organs that manual massage cannot.
One session typically lasts around 60 minutes, and the majority of participants report feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, similar to the effects of a physical massage.
